grumpyQuick update.

Mattel can't/won't replace the damaged Daniel Arsham car and case as the items are sold out, so there goes that idea of putting the collection together banghead

Ah gutted for you. Had that before with something else limited, so annoying.

Recent HW releases include a couple of new colours on familiar castings. Happy with the RS2 as I had a real one (although without the X-Pack) in a rather lurid shade of green.

If the Wife asks Why? Then I’ll blame this thread , bought over last couple of months in local Tesco and B&M stores.
B&M have just put a great big basket full which is really hard the sort thru to look for interesting models. And I feel guilty standing there rooting thru them all smile

Is occasional talk about Matchbox cars allowed here ?

That's a yes then !

I have been wasting far too much time recently on Ebay looking for bargain buy Matchbox cars.
On a random search of Rovers today ,I saw some unusual Range Rover classics , I wasn't the only one as they had been bid to over £50 ,with a few hours auction to run .

As a nosey sod ,I looked at the seller's other items .
Oh boy ,what a treat !
This seller had more than 100 auctions finishing today , a lot of them were models made in Bulgaria .
Who knew that Matchbox had a factory there ?

They had "Bulgarian "in the listing title making them easy to spot .
Every single one of them had bids .

I clicked a few to watch for later as all of them ended today .
Later when they had all finished I logged back in and was flabbergasted .

Cortina MK2s sold for £113 and £155 plus 4 others below £100.
Mercedes SLs sold for £350 ,£140 and £135 .
Mercedes 300 SEs sold for £385 and £127 and £112
BMW CSLs sold for £210 and £156
Cortina MK4 sold for £165 plus 9 more auctions below £100
And last but not least...
Lamborghini Miuras sold for £356 and £475 .

I think the seller also had some empty original boxes ,one sold for £31 for a VW Golf

I wanted to take part so left high a £5 bid on a nice Mercedes ,didn't win it went for £10 .

If you want to look at all of the results and don't know where to look .
Click on advanced to the right of the blue box ,type Matchbox Bulgarian into the search box and click the box for sold listings and then search and they will all appear .

Disclaimer ,I have no affiliation with this seller .

My lad has that, the engine nacelles are disappointingly wobbly. His was stuck to the backing card upside which I now understand makes it more collectible confused should have kept it in the packet.
