Thanks to this thread I just picked up a Minichamps 1/43 F1 from eBay. Probably paid way over the odds for it, but the Minichamps small stuff is really lovely. In fact, I think I might start picking up a few more now.

IMHO the Minichamps 1:43 version is the best of the lot. In terms of detail:size it takes some beating.

My old man has the UT 1:18th 1996 Gulf car from the BPR series. Shame that he bought it 2 years ago rather than 12, when they were cheap. Not the absolute best model, but sums up what the GTR was about pefectly. We saw them racing numerous times over the period 1995 - 1999 in BPR, FIA and British GT championships. He bookends the recent GT period with a works DBR9. We were similarly fortunate to see it win on its debut in the Empire Trophy in 2005. I'll try to dig out some photos in due course.

"one of only 8,544 pieces"

Wow, virtually unique then.

I Have a Silver F1, Black GTR, Orange LM roadcars in 1/18 from UT and know how much they are worth. but I also have a Blue 1/12 F1 roadcar that is from Pauls model art.
Does anyone know what the value of this may be?
I know you can now get the Minichamps 1/12 but this is an original first gen.
