I've been having a clear out of my hard drive and found these photos which I thought I'd already posted here ages ago, but looking back through the thread I hadn't, anyway, some repainting / renumbering / weathering attempts on various 00 gauge models I've owned and sold on.
Heljan Class 47, partially repainted then weathered...
Older Bachman Class 42 'Warship', partially repainted, renumbered then weathered and added etched nameplates...
Heljan Class 52 'Western', partially repainted then weathered and added etched name and number plates, also replaced the thick transparent plastic engine room windows with half open pieces cut from thin glazing material...
Older Bachman EE Type 4 / Class 40, partially repainted and renumbered then weathered...
Bachman BR Western Region Mk1 catering car, thinned down moulded roof ribs, partially repainted then weathered...
Bachman Class 55 'Deltic', partially repainted, renumbered and weathered...
Hornby Class 50, partially repainted, renumbered and weathered...
Bachman Ivatt Class 4MT 2-6-0, repainted, renumbered and weathered...

These are not mine but I thought I'd share them on here - they're the work of 'Jack P' on the RMWeb forum, it's quite rare to see GWR era models with any weathering or toning down applied, unlike the BR era and these are very nicely done...
I've just found this in my archive, a 00 gauge BR 16ton mineral wagon I had a go at weathering ages ago...

4 weeks, easy I told myself....finished and photographed (badly) at 2am the day of online judging...but that's always how it was going to happen. Spent far too long simply wondering what colour I was going to paint it... Anyway, group build competition set by that shop in Kent that sell Models, their choice of kit, accessories from their stock allowed, so here's a Honda estate with a bike on it:

Who makes that? I’ve got a couple of Aoshima 5th Gen estates (unbuilt of course…) but have never seen a 6th Gen estate model.Gassing Station | Scale Models | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
