I built the new Apollo Lander over the weekend. A nice build and a great-looking display set to sit alongside the Saturn V, Curiosity rover and Shuttle sets.

It's only a touch bigger than the old 10029 lunar lander set, but incomparably better looking with the metallic gold and silver pieces. I'll try to remember to take a compare-and-contrast picture this evening.

With shelf space at a premium (for which read, there's none now left), I have had to start operating a one in, one out policy. Having spent ages trying to pick up 10029, and spending a fortune on it on ebay, I think I shall now have to move it on as there's just not room for two landers!

There is civil unrest in Lego City.
Awesome! I cant wait to build by lego city to be able to stage carnage like this.

Im thinking bank robbery gone wrong, various terror attacks including a plane into a tower block (built to collapse easily), a towering inferno, a riot gone bloody etc etc. lol

My terrorist kidnapping beheading was too much for some facebook lego groups. LOLOLOL

Spent the night building the Mustang, some great design features and a very nice build.

The actual T Rex model looks brilliant and I suppose the minifigs are quite good but as a set it's a bit odd and I could never justify that price for it.

I know you had a lot of grief with the AT AT but as a finished build/ display piece would you do it again?
Seriously tempted.

My Saturn V and free gift arrived yesterday! woohoo

The little ride-on rocket was a quick fun build..

And I've finished stage 1 of the V build. It's a beautifully designed kit. The only problem I've had so far was builder error. I'd not pushed a plate all the way home, and that had thrown out the alignment further down the line. When I'm not being a numpty, it goes together wonderfully well, and is a huge amount of fun to build.

Yeah, I would, I’ve moved house twice since I first built it, so I’m quite familiar with the build now.

Glue around the ankle joints was essential for me, they are a definite weak spot and could not support the weight of the model

Just finished!!

What a fun build! And the finished thing just looks amazing. And it's huge!!

The only thing I'm not sure about is whether to have the two mini scenes there, or to have the decent module in the V, and have just the rocket displayed on it's own...

I have to agree that it is a superb build. All in one is staggering in size.

Mine is displayed in sections using the cradles. Upright, with a dog & a 14 year old, is asking for trouble!!!

Fun build and a superb display model. Will have to rearrange things to put it next to my Saturn 5.

Has anyone seen this new Stranger Things model?

It's one of the most inventive builds I've seen in a long time! Anyone's guess what it will cost...
