Managed to bag the Lego House on the Lego website earlier. Well pleased, as love all the architecture stuff, and didn't think I'd manage to get hold of one.

I was so tempted as I’m sure it will be worth more than it cost but I’m not a great fan. I did like the look of the dinosaurs though.

We (me and the 5 year old) had a go at a bit of Lego tensegrity this morning, pretty pleased with it...

Could do with the clear Technic arms (as seen on the Delorean one a few pages back) to tidy it up, but not bad considering it was just from bits knocking around.

Just found this company that recreates old architecture sets with new bricks, seems legit!

Yes, especially with no box or instructions. But, probably the cheapest way of getting hold of a retired set .

Revisions to Speed Champions Audi,
This is a brilliant set but the roof with the raised studs looks wrong IMO so after a rummage round bricklink this is about the best I could mange :

Bits to remove:

Replacement parts (wish there was one piece that would so the roof but couldn’t find one)

Assembly:

Tada !
Will put stickers on roof to hide joins

Sadly it’s one piece so would be a cutting job & that’s a route I don’t want to take

Figured this is as good a place to ask as any.

My wife selling some lego on eBay, has accepted an offer and buyer has sent payment. She has had an email from from paypal stating that money will be held temporarily (for 21 days), eBay holding the funds, not paypal. Also says to help get money faster add shipping info to eBay.

Is this normal, I can see the logic protecting the buyer. However, it seems a bit off that they are insisting that item is posted without cleared funds?
I've never had this when selling.

I think its actually first time she has ever sold on eBay so I guess that could be the reason.

Ahh, I don’t have the Audi. I have not had a chance to sneak out to Argos yet.

Are you sure that that it's a genuine email from Paypal? There's a scam where you can get an email that appears to show that there's a payment being held in escrow until you confirm that you've posted the item, but it's a fake email sent by the buyer. The email might contain links to a site that look like Paypal and shows a pending payment, but the site is fake too.

As your wife is a new user, it's also possible that it's genuine. If it's genuine, your wife should be able to see a copy of the message when she logs in to her eBay or Paypal accounts. If it's a fake, and she's followed a link in the email to log in to eBay or Paypal, she should change her passwords.

Just to add re. eBay - there's no way you could convince me to ever sell on there again, it's all loaded against the seller now.

I'm about to build one of these - don't suppose you have a copy of the parts you replaced to save a lot of digging around my end? Yours looks so much better I'll just do this from the off!
