Just finished the VW Creator camper. Have to say from only building Technics to that was still really enjoyable & reminded me lots of Lego as a youngster.

Might need to sneak some of these creator sets into the house although the Mrs likes the camper in display so it might not be so bad to get the beetle when the Ducati comes out.

Annoyed I missed the F40 & Mini though
The camper and the London bus are the only ones we’ve got ‘on show’. I’m getting LEDs also to make them more like mininlamps.

There’s loads of sets I’d like to make but at the end of the day you need somewhere to put them and TBH I don’t really want most of them on display around the house.

For me, most are fun to make with the kids and end up in their bedrooms.

Just to add re. eBay - there's no way you could convince me to ever sell on there again, it's all loaded against the seller now.

I want to sell some but I worry about ebay. I've used it loads over the years, for all sorts of things, and not had many issues. But this is dealing with bigger amounts of money, that I cannot afford to lose, and that puts me off it.

Facebook marketplace always seems like it's full of crap, and i've not used Gumtree. Has anyone ever sold a set via Bricklink?

I've sold through Gumtree, Preloved and not sure if you have a local equivalent of Friday-ad? I prefer to deal in cash, in person (obviously covid-19 has changed that a little in the short term!).

There are too many scammy s on eBay and as mentioned they will invariably side with the buyer even if the buyer's a piss-taking tt.

If they're that local that they can collect it's free on the sites I mentioned.

Can anyone recommend a glass fronted wall mounted cabinet for the speed champions cars? Hoping someone may already have something similar!

Thanks

Thanks
I've got a pair of IKEA Bertby units on the wall which currently hold all my CDs. I'm going to purge the CDs and repurpose the cabinets; was looking last night at the best place to mount lighting inside.

Mine are the same as these:

The glass shelves can be repositioned so I can put things like the Fiat 500 in there as well which is handy.

I may also have just accidentally ordered 10220 - VW camper. Oops.

I've tried selling on the sites you mentioned and not had a single sale. Never had a problem dealing with cash on collection buyers on eBay.

Well I think I'm going to have a look at the weekend and start to sort out what's got to go. I think I'll have to risk eBay for smaller stuff that's easier to ship.

Bigger stuff I'll try your suggestion of Gumtree, and also look at Facebook marketplace again. Cheers

Just finished the Architecture Trafalgar Square, it’s a delightful build with well over 1000 pieces. Love it!

Better pics to follow but I finished the Cobi Churchill Tank earlier,
Quality is ok but a few bits needed a nudge to fit tightly, instructions are poor though, first page says use bag 1 but there are 7 other bags in one with seemingly no order or relevance so ages to decipher which parts are which (especially as 90% are sand coloured)
The tracks are made of 37 individual links which gives a nice look
Overall though a decent enough thing for €35

Flipping heck!

I really need a decent glass cabinet. I've got Baracuda Bay on top of a dresser at the mo, but it gets dusty quick..

Central Perk is built but boxed, Death Star is half-built but boxed, cars are all built but boxed laugh

None of the IKEA cabinets are deep enough for the big sets I don't think, she need to keep searching...
