Excavator arrived today, thank you.

It was a pleasant surprise because I hadn't heard anything from DPD.

I started my build tonight. I was going to wait but building the little truck on Monday night I had urge to do more. I started about 5.30 and stopped just before 10.30, and just finished the 4th group of bags. Really enjoyable build so far. Lots of bits where your trying to figure out how they are going to link things together. It's going to be BIG though. I think I'll need a big shelf to display it. Will probably do a bit more on the weekend.

You'd be surprised, but we had about 40-50 orders go out in those huge boxes! Courier had a heart attack when they come in on their first collection, one said in a Jaws impression, "You're gonna need a bigger van!"

Ive just finished the 911's first box. Very interesting build so far. Hardest part has been keeping it out of the reach of my 3year old!

One question if anyone else has got this far, the PDK paddle shifters don't actually seem to do anything and i'm starting to panic that i've messed up a step!? Should they be physically interacting with the gear changing mechanism by now?

Definitely should be doing something.

The orange 2 block in the middle should be rotating 90 degrees each time you pull a shifter, effectively engaging a different gear.

Yep. Working now, turns out i wasn't pulling the shifter hard/far enough to rotate the sequence mechanism driving

Echo all the other comments - many thanks for organising this.

My Porsche is still in the box as I'm attempting to prolong the pleasure because I know once I start it it'll be finished far too quickly.
