Has anybody ever had any issues with Lego and purchase limits

Ordered the Mustang (10265) for a friend last week all ok, just decided to order myself one and Lego have cancelled the order.

We’re really sorry, but your recent LEGO® Shop order T******* has been cancelled because it went above our purchase limits for the following items:
10265 Ford Mustang, we sometimes put limits on popular sets so as many LEGO fans as possible can get their hands on them. Although you won’t be able to buy those sets right now, we regularly change and remove purchase limits, so it’s a good idea to keep an eye on our website over the next few months.
If there were other items in your order these will also have been cancelled, but you can reorder these through LEGO Shop at any time.

Is this correct, guess I going to have to pay through nose on ebay now, bugger

Liking the look of that, and the Mrs will likely approve as it can go round the Christmas tree!

They're about £135 on Amazon with delivery so not too horrendous. Alternatively if you don't mind a few days' wait, order it from Amazon.de:

https://www.amazon.de/LEGO-Creator-10265-Confident...

€138 is about £123 so only a fiver penalty and you can log in using your Amazon UK account. It'd even be here by Saturday.

Set 10277, out on July 1st. I'm sure its articulated and in three parts.

Looks really cool, but i'm trying to get rid of Lego, not buy more.

Just seen what someone's done with their Saturn V and the effect is superb:

I had the same issue...... I had a few items on pre-order, but when a recent 20% cashback offer came out, I cancelled all my pre-orders and made a new £1200 order. Within 30min, I had the same order error message that you did.

You'll need to call Lego customer services and depending who answers, you may need to get a little forceful with them and insist they look into their back end systems that log order / limit details. It seems that if you cancel an order it does NOT release limit counts - that's a seaprate system and it seems most Lego customer service agents don't know it has to be cleared seaprately to allow you to re-purchase items.

It took me 3 days and many phone calls to get to an agent who knew this and was able to release the allowcation so that I could place my order.

Good luck, I hope this helps you thumbup

I rebuilt 10248 Creator F40 last week, really enjoyed the build (again) it has some fantastic techniques. I hope TLG do another creator expert car that tickles my fancy soon.
After finishing i felt really inspired to build a MOC based on 205 T16. Progress is painfully slow and in truth it doesn't look very good but its passing time in these lockdown days quite well.

I rebuilt this at the start of lockdown. Best model I have ever built. It's a fantastic design and enjoyed building it much more than the Porsche GT3

I bought the F40 from goforbroke and really enjoyed it, probably my favourite build so far - I also bought the Mini Cooper from him and enjoyed that too. Overall I've found I actually preferred the Creator builds more than the Technics ones, despite the latter being bigger with all the clever gubbins.

Still got the VW Camper, Aston, Mustang, ISS and Saturn V to build!

I'm really pleased you've got them built and enjoyed them. Thanks for such an easy sale smile

Spoke with them at length and they would not budge, one per customer and I already had one ordered / delivered.

But thanks to kind PH member Funk it looks like I have sourced a genuine one at a very reasonable price from a uk site.
