Has anyone got/built the Lego UCS star destroyer 75252? I am tempted with it but not sure I can justify the £650. I have read a few reviews on the Lego website and it seems to split opinions. If I was to buy it, it would be a display piece. Any views would be appreciated.

Wish I had the space for these big sets ... Seen one in the Lego shop and it looked fantastic. Slightly off topic but did you build the last UCS Y-Wing ?

That was one of the best builds I've done and it looks superb also recently built the A-Wing which I really didnt enjoy building although looks OK.

I'd love to do the UCS Star Destroyer too but like others it's very pricey and i don't have anywhere to display well over a metre of Lego model unfortunately. Maybe one day!

I have a few of the ucs sets including the Y-wing. That was a great build and looks fantastic. Not bought the A-wing as I don’t like the look of it to be honest. Space would be a issue as I’ve got the falcon to build too. Some sets may have to be disassembled to make room or kick the Mrs out smile

I've got the previous UCS star destroyer - its currently still boxed up from my last move as I've got nowhere to display it. Its a big beast, and just a bit fragile.

The parcel arrived today - I've not opened it as I'm in two minds as to what to do. I already have the refund based on 'no tracking update for over 3 weeks' - although not the reason I would've normally used I was fortunate it was so slow and got the refund I wanted in the first place. It's a 'default win' for me on that basis without having to argue that the item is 'significantly not as described' (or 'utter tat' it would seem!).

I've no desire to keep the item but here's where I'm not sure what to do - contacting PayPal to say it's arrived might mean they reverse the refund decision as the parcel has now actually arrived? I'm more than happy to send it back from whence it came (at the seller's cost, not mine!) but I'm wondering if it's just better to let sleeping dogs lie - I have my refund and given the size of the parcel that's sat here there's no way it's possible it's anything like what was advertised.

What do you folks think? Stay quiet and don't feel bad that some Chinese scammers are out of pocket by a couple of quid or pop it up on PayPal's radar and try to get it returned...?
I think you know the answer.....
I'm tempted to take a look at what's actually arrived...

I had the same and now I have received it I'm sorry to have drawn it to people's attention. Pints on me if we ever meet.
Well I finally had the cost refunded to my credit card yesterday, so now I've just got a dodgy Chinese rocket sat on my bookcase. Not really sure what to do with it.

It's really bad. I haven't had too close a look at it because once I'd seen what it was (and wasn't!), I just took some pictures of it and started the dispute process. It's sat on my bookshelf ever since. Not really sure if I can get rid of it as I haven't had any communication back from Nationwide, just a refund to my credit card, so not sure if should send it to Swindon as it's technically theirs now!

I found someone on Etsy (I think) selling a plastic-printed type bracket for the Saturn V which enabled it to be attached to a wall - looked OK (I didn't buy it).

There are a couple of display solutions out there.

That's what I'm using to display my Saturn

If you get one don't trust the stated distances for attaching to the wall, mine were quite a bit out in places, hence the height of the escape tower, the third stage also had to be moved up quite a bit.

That looks really good though, a nice way of displaying it.

Huge Diagon Alley set coming. Looks epic but over £300 is a bit rich.

Anyone seen the hoo-ha over the Lego Razor Crest now called the Mandalorian bounty hunter transport?

Razorcrest is trademarked by an individuals who makes an MOC. The name of the kit in Europe always reflected that.
