What do all your views say when your burning so much cash on pricy Lego - do you have to splash the cash on something for them.
I don't have a view, but my wife is happy with me buying it, it stops me from spending it on hookers, drugs and fast cars!!!
I buy the Lego my wife gives me extra money for hookers, drugs and fast cars....

I have also indulged in the Crane....seems good value, it wasn’t on my mind before but it looks like a good(and large) build.

You should be on commission as I bought one too. Not suprisingly, I see they are out of stock now.

Ordered Friday at 1020, delivered today at 1135 - that's pretty bloody good service for a four quid delivery charge. Yodel as the courier too, I was expecting to retrieve it from someone else's garden next month!

Mine arrived at the click & collect point this morning. I’ll get it tomorrow when SWMBO is at work.

I too was amazed at the speedy delivery. The last item I bought from Very took 8 days to arrive!!

I hope that it fits on the transporter. That way when it breaks, which it will, I have something to put behind the broken Caterham!!!

I was also impressed by the delivery! I ordered mine at 5pm on Saturday and it arrived at 10.30am today....must have been delivered in the passenger seat of a Bugatti.

Have yo guys all set up the kids wish list thing on Amazon?

Create a kids wish list - add some of the lego sets you are interested in and sometime in the next few days you'll get an invite to use a 15% discount code against anything on the list.

I set the list up last week and the code only came through today - code is generic but assume it is 'turned on' for your account

Yup, same here. I completed build stages 1-3 last night, mainly the 'guts' of the crane and it's quite big. Cans of 'Vitamin G' for scale!

Quick heads-up: someone on here had an issue where the front outriggers went up and the back ones went down. Simple but easy to make error in which way the small bevel gears that drive the mechanism at each end of the crane were orientated on their shafts. Worth checking now.

Thanks. I did notice during the build that the small bevel gears were 'inboard' when building the first set of outriggers, 'then outboard' on the second set. I'd assumed this was so they both operated the same from a single point, but did double check the mechanism to make sure at the time.

I'm still astounded by how resistant a diddy Technic pin can sometimes be to just getting in the fking hole when I push you...

Rough terrain crane is a good build, enjoy. As mentioned watch the small gears are the correct way round.

At what’s stage of the build does this problem possibly occur?

I’m only up too page 35, book 1.
