A micro rant here - I was bidding on this set yesterday (60103 air display) and I was winning. A real bargain too and I was winning up until 1 minute to go - I usually watch this and was sniped. I hope this person burns in hell...

The price? £21

Ouch ! I always bid what I'm prepared to pay then just forget about it. If I win I win ....

Bugger, I burned some of mine on the 911 when that came out. I'm about 500 points shy now.

I should probably use some of these some time, right? 😂

My Lunar Lander arrived today.

Should be done just in time for the Shuttle to arrive.

With the shuttle does anyone know how long it might be around for? I can't quite afford to buy it right now, will it just be gone unless you grab one immediately? Or will it be like the ISS where it's around for ages?
They normally run for a couple of years.
When launched it will probably go out of stock quickly, then fluctuate in and out of stock for a while. Bit like the crocodile train did. Stock should become more available as time goes on and like ecsrobin mentioned at least a couple of years before they pull it.
Thanks guys, that sounds fine, don't mind it going on and out of stock as long as it doesn't end up as a 5000 quid eBay job. I've got designs on doing all the space items. ISS next.

The ISS looks good as a model but t he build itself is underwhelming, If you don't already have it I would suggest postponing that one and put the funds into the shuttle first...?

frown So finally in the mood to start my Ecto-1 Christmas Prezzi .... 2nd brick from the first bag missing hope it's not a Friday car !! biggrin
Well this is very strange ! I decided I couldn't wait for the missing brick to arrive from Lego so robbed one from an old set in the loft .... Grabbed the Ecto and bag one ... Almost straight away another brick missing !

Damn should have checked them all !! Then had a thought .... Went back to the box and had a look at all the bags and I have TWO bag 1's.

Have I just missed something here ? Anyone else built Ecto-1 and had the same ?

I've built a couple of sets that have multiples of each number bags. Can be a bit confusing on first take.

There are often 2 or more of each numbered bag in the larger sets.
Ecto-1 I think had 2 of every bag plus some additional stuff in un-numbered bags.

The first thing I do is get everything out of the box to find all the bags.

Not just Ecto-1 - many of the larger sets will have multiple bags, they're numbered by stage, not by the total number of bags. I suppose it makes sense when 'Stage 1' is a big one and fitting all the parts into one bag wouldn't work. They also group parts in bags so larger pieces are all in one, smaller pieces in smaller separate bags rather than all being mixed in with the larger pieces...

All I can say is that I don't think I've ever had a single missing piece in any of the ones I've built which is pretty good going on Lego's part.
