Rough terrain crane rebuild done.

And it all works!!! Apart from the outriggers & I am buggered if I can work out how they drop.

It’s a big kit & probably my favourite build so far.
The outriggers are dropped there...

Does the upper part slew around 360 OK?
I realised that I hadn’t flicked the switch over for the riggers. The upper part does a full 360 with ease.

All good now - thank you for your help earlier.
No worries.

So it all works now?
Yes thank you. All working perfectly.

Glad it's all working now. If not after you rebuilt it, I was going to recommend swapping it for some Duplo wink

hehe Poor Brummie does come in for a bit of ribbing on this thread - fair play for him getting stuck into so many models though, he puts the rest of us to shame in terms of actual Lego construction numbers..!

I rebuilt book 2 - took a chance that book 1 build was all good. Which, thankfully, it was.

And yet more click bait crap from Argos. They haven’t got any in stock. Rather like the massive ‘price drops’ with the Technic stuff recently.

Jeep done.

A decent easy straightforward build. Quite enjoyed that.

Now. What next???

This and the Senna just arrived on my doorstep. No problems in the build this time Brum'? From what I heard the only real functionality is the steering and axle movement.

Anybody ever suggested or thought about a 'swap' club done on trust?

Would anybody be interested in swapping sets temporarily? 80% or so of the fun for me is the build and with bigger sets being expensive it could be a way that we could get the enjoyment without the continual outlay?

Doors & bonnet open & axle movement is quite good. It’s basic but quite a good little model. Did the Senna few weeks ago.

Has anybody done the Lego Technic Volvo 42114 6x6 tipper yet? What's it like as a build, and what's the functionality of the controls like?

No ..but just finished the Volvo 42030 bucket truck all the functions are good and work well so see the 42114 working the same ..also of the best built is the MB ACOS truck and hiab enjoyed that ,I much prefer the working models as opposed to static ones ie GT3RS RSR .BUGATTI CHIRON .DEFENDER .both the Volvo and ACOS cost me only 90 each so a bargain .

The 42030 is a great build which works really well too.

Huge front bucket means it's primary function is a 'Guinness delivery system'
