Some good prices on Amazon uk at the moment, especially if you’re after a Disco, Bugatti or mobile crane.
I'm a bit suspicious about Lego's pricing. If you look at the Defender for example, yes, Lego direct sell if for £159 but even Smyths toy stores is the same price as Amazon @ £104. I suspect it's all 'controlled' cyclical 'offers'.

Looking at the prices of the F150 in the US vs here is a bit of a shocker.

$100 (£73) vs £130 here!! A price gap definitely not explainable just by differences in taxation...

Is Lego as regularly discounted the same way in the U.S as it is here? We all know that F150 will be hovering around £100 for most of it's run here. The default seems to be 20% off, fluctuating up to 35%.

I wouldn’t have been surprised in the slightest if it was $130 vs £130, but that really is taking the piss. Fortunately it holds no interest for me.

Prices are out for the new Mercedes Zetros and the Heavy Tow truck

Heavy Tow truck £139.99 (2017 pieces), pneumatic functions. Quite impressive size

Zetros £274.99 (2110 pices) Control+ power functions.

Think it might be the tow truck then wait for the Zetros to be discounted on Amazon or similar.

83 more pieces, with the control & Power functions, even if those are £25-£30 each, even at £50 per kit, does that mean the Licensing costs are £100 per set? If so that's ludicrous!

Piss taking with the price of the Mercedes truck in my opinion. Not interested in Control or power functions but have to pay the premium to get the model, which I won’t. Like the tow truck so will settle with that.

I’ve just built the McLaren Senna. It’s a chunky thing with a lot of parts, but really disappointed in the lack mechanisms, which is the bit about Technic I like. The drive train is a real cop out with no diff and 1-wheel drive from the engine.

Yes that one is a bit disappointing. And ugly. The other weird bit is where the chassis is kind of bent in the middle.

Yes, I thought I’d built it wrong when I spotted that, but everything seemed to together ok.

I enjoyed the Ducati, clever engine and gearbox build and really good value for the money.

Likewise, that image really highlights why the chain needs a link less though!

Ditto. Loved doing mine. And yes, one less chain link needed. Think it was 36 on the instructions.

I bought one from Smyths for £37 a few weeks ago, enjoyed the build and also used one less link.

Great build. I did the same with my chain. Also spray painted the wheels gold to make look more Ducati.

Yep, gold wheels (Palsticote) are the way forward, I think the discs could do with another coat of silver as well but that’s on the “one day” list

It’s robust as well, knocked it off the (2M) high shelf this week and only about 7/8 parts detached, was expecting carnage and major surgery
