Been building this and so far it’s an interesting build.

Lots of modular parts built at the start then assembled together later.

Repetitive but in a good way, felt very therapeutic.

My mum used to have a typewriter in a similar colour as I kid I wanted to use it. So brings nice memories

I used to love my mum’s typewriter, up there with some of my fondest childhood memories.

Anyone after an unbuilt 42100 Excavator?

Still after getting shut of this Dave? I'm hovering over buying it from Argos anyway!

Just ordered the ISS set (which I'll keep to complete the space set) and the 42112 cement mixer (which I'll sell on afterwards) from Argos as they're cheap enough.

Got my eyes on a build and re-sell of 42100 and the 42131 dozer as well as they look fabulous.

Having recently disassembled the Sian I decided to rebuild it (cheaper than buying the CAT 'Dozer laugh )

I'd forgotten what a truly epic thing to make it is!

Taken more time over it this time around as I foooooked the doors up last time

There are some decent voucher deals about on John Lewis / Amazon (Amazon is basically matching JL, but pro-rotaing the discount) - The Zetros is approx £174, Sian £210 ish etc.

Not actually Technic Lego, but does anyone have any views on the latest Mindstorms set (51515)? I see Amazon have it for just over £200 at the moment. Although it's way more than I've ever spent on a Lego set, it does seem like it could be a good set, and it seems to get pretty good reviews. Any thoughts on this, and whether it's worth holding off in case it drops further for Black Friday at the end of the month?

Well. I found the Rescue Hovercraft unopened in another box so built that the other evening as I was bored. Quite a fun little build...

Anyway, I thought 'Hmmm. Bit boring and I have a disassembled Dom's Charger upstairs.....Maybe do something SBS Style?"

I came up with this creation, I think I'll call it a 2021 Cross Channel Ferry.

Everyone coming in peace, aparently....

And see all their happy, smiling faces as they cross the channel to their new home errrrr, holiday destination

Wow. Politics in Lego. Hope you’re proud.

Not sure that attitude is called for in what had always been a fairly lighthearted channel.

People who think the migration crisis is funny. Last comment. I suggest again you go to NP&E rather than making ‘banter’ (cf, Yorkshire CC).

Don't have time to read the whole thread (!) but just found my 8860 chassis in the loft, best thing I ever owned as a child. Checking I've got all the parts and then giving it to my son when he's old enough. smile

Are there any current vehicle sets with as much functioning detail? Most of them seem more focused on looks and bodywork these days.
