I ordered a load of Lego new releases at just gone midnight from the Lego site.
Just had notifications it will be with me on Monday.

I wish Lego would get the deliveries out quicker ….

Agree, the Space Shuttle is a fantastic build with so many clever build techniques. It looks great too and just like the typewriter, is one of those sets where the Lego designers have to add in visible studs so you can tell it's made of Lego!
If we are talking about the Discovery set with Hubble, then yes it is superb. Possible better than Saturn 5, and they make a stunning display combined. Both of mine are in my office.
I already have the earlier space shuttle set on display, is the new one sufficiently different?

Oh yes it is bigger, comes with the Hubble Telescope but without the external tank and boosters, though there are MOC'c out there for both , go search through his thread for details

I'm in two minds - do I buy the McLaren, the BMW bike, the Sian, the dumper truck or the space shuttle?
Good question, I'd say it depends on what you already have. If you have these then the Sian -

If you have these then the BMW bike -

If you have these then the space shuttle -

Only currently own 3 Technic Flagships (none built), sold the other 10.

Overall the space shuttle is excellent, I'd recommend that.

I had the same delivery today however an in all manner of trouble with the She.F.O. as Lego - for some reason - broke the order down into 3 separate boxes.
Mercedes Speed Champions set in one box
McLaren F1 car in another box
Remaining Speed Champion sets and the Vespa in the third box.

Don't suppose anyone has built the McLaren yet?

Just wondered what it's like too build bearing. Looks good on the box & in the reviews however.....

Finished building the McLaren at the weekend. Its an OK build but lacks any real functions other than a basic engine, steering and suspension, a working DRS mechanism and removable engine cover would have been nice.
The design hints of being a little rushed, a couple of areas could have been refined to give a more accurate representation, the front wing for example is very basic. There is another color matching issue with one of the blue parts used on the rear wing.
One thing I have done is remove the wheel covers, IMO it looks better without them.

I have the Sian too (had to take it apart to make room to display the McLaren) and think its a much more involved and interesting build and better VFM if you can get it for the right price.

Glad to hear some of you used Jadlam for the F1 car, it’s a great set and now sadly out of stock for a while.

We’ve got the speed champion Merc set back in stock this week which is great… got the f1 car on my desk 💪🏻

It's a poor technic build even at that price.
