How is the GS twice the price of the Ducati. I always thought it was the size of the M1000RR.

The GS was, I think, £55 new.

Because it’s a retired set, before that it was the same price.

Can anyone recommend any places to get a display case? I've got the Land Rover, Mclaren, 911 and the Air Bus (so far only the Land Rover is built!).

Edit to add - I don't want to spend a fortune.

IKEA deltof is the best bet, additional shelves are available online.

Argos do some nice cabinets with a lot of shelves, but they are no longer cheap

Meanwhile the Lego store in Cologne (Germany) has moved and expanded, with consequent huge stocks of all the new sets. Free VIP truck, plus fre VIP Lego shop because of the relocation!

They were never that much. Sian was down to about £180 or so in Costco. A rip off from Asda.

Doesn't matter what they were once, long ago. It matters what they are now - the Sian was one of the sets that got a price hike late last year (along with 140 or so other sets). We can only look for current deals against prices in the context of the current climate, much the same way that the cheap lease deal I got once on a BMW 840i for £350/mo isn't ever going to happen again.

Most of people probably don't have a Costco membership - I don't - but Costco do have it for £220 at present. Smyths are at £300, Zavvi at £320 but pretty much everywhere else is £390-odd. In that context it's a pretty good deal from Asda, particularly if you're not able to buy from Costco. If you're waiting to see it at £180 again you'll be waiting for a very long time I suspect.

Anyone can get a Costco online membership though. It's £15.

Bit of a shame they don't have stock of it... I think my points still stand tbh.
