Lego Stratford were kind enough to relieve me of some hard-earned in exchange for the Classic Defender and the Indy Golden Idol today, complete with Easter remainder Easter Bunny as a bonus. Looking forward to both of these, currently half way through the Ford GT cool

You can flat pack the boxes?!?! I thought that would ruin them. Is it easy to do, because the amount I have got is really starting to become a problem.
I open both ends with a craft knife then fold flat - works fine.
Thank you. I had never considered that before, but the amount I have got is becoming a problem to store. I considered putting them in the loft, but not sure that is the best place for them.

A snapshot of our 8 year olds room (Star Wars and Jurassic is in the study, Minecraft in the other corner!), every single penny he has earned or been given, and every birthday/Christmas present since he was 3 has been Lego!

And us x2 (3 if you count me). We haven't got room to keep everything built up, so it is a struggle to keep all the bits for each set together.

I bag mine when I take them apart into these:

Little bags for little pieces, and you can organise by type.

I think we will have to start doing that - once the models have been built back up from the pieces all jumbled up in one box.

I've been going through that process with some of my Technic sets. Sort all the pieces, compare with the parts list, find where I put the missing ones, build, then unbuild backwards, bagging in stages.

It's less of a chore than it sounds, because Lego.

As suggested by everybody, I’ve built the shuttle. It was fun, good model, doesn’t really fit in with my other display pieces though. Anybody wanna buy a shuttle?

My brother's just mentioned he would like to do the shuttle; how much would you want for it...?

I think you've misunderstood how LEGO works, you are collecting space now, hehe.

Ah, not to worry then - he'd prefer the full 'new build' experience for an extra £20. Looking at recent sales on eBay they're going for around £110-120 used.

Does anyone happen to have any Series 1 Star Wars Microfighters they might want to move on? Supermarkets were discounting them last year but now they've pretty much disappeared. The new stuff is a bit st in comparison. :-/

I was about to say, Series 1 were not in supermarkets last year, not even 4-5 years ago, these were discontinued in 2015 and have been above RRP on the secondary market for about 5 years now.

Morrisons near us had a bunch of the series 1 Millennium Falcons for about £7, that was either last year or the year before. And a colleague bought up about 20 of the same ones for a quid each from Aldi at about the same time, so probably clearance stock. I can’t get in touch with him at the moment though. Will find something on eBay.

edit - in any case, the Series 8 Falcon looks pretty much the same, so we'll get one of those, and maybe that's even what we saw in the shops anyway. smile

Just done with The Temple of the Golden Idol - this is a really fun, involving build with more than 1500 pieces, and plenty of clever details and mechanisms. It’s built up in a modular format with one being each of the three “rooms”, all with some great detailing. Thoroughly recommended!

And the mechanism:
