I loved those! I have a couple of the one off books they did for Phantom and Carrier Aircraft (I think). I then started the collection of the Airplane series they did, but stopped after a while.

I loved Warplane - mine are still cluttering up my study, bound and stacked up on top of the similarly bound set of Take Off that followed it! Many of the centrefold paintings were also issued as large posters and I still have those rolled up in the loft. I want to get some frames made so I can have a changing selection on the wall.

Yes have Take off as well.....may be going the same way.

Has been stacked up in top cupboard for years would like to give them a good home where they might get some use.

I have the entire collection of "Wings". Does anybody remember that one (started around 1977)?

I used to collect these when I was a kid. I think I had a complete collection. My parents skipped them when I moved out.

Yes I only quite recently got shot of mine. I still have the back page modellers feature by Ray Rimmell, all neatly bound, goodness knows why.

Same here, used to keep the back covers and bind the rest. They only went to a local charity shop at the backend of last year.

Blimey, I’ve got the illustrated encyclopaedia of aircraft by orbis in my fathers loft! I’ll have to have a look next time I visit.

I’m sure I have another orbis series about military units as well. Can’t remember the name but I think the binders were camouflaged.

Send ‘em my way of you still have them. They will go nicely with my 1st edition Spitfire:History by Shacklady/Morgan

Decent donation to a charity of your choice etc.
