Right I've been doing a bit of soul searching, and need to decide which way to go in my hunt for the next toy, I can't bring myself to start using the meteor again as I know it will end up getting damaged, and I can't find shells for love nor money. And the hybrid I've built is a bit boring unless I go the silly modified route.

I can't realistically see me taking racing up seriously, while I'd love to just turn up and race they all take it so seriously I just don't think I'd really be welcome, and to even stand a chance of ranking in a race you need to spend daft money, and the car will be too delicate to have fun with. So scrub that idea.

I want something I can take down on to the beach, carparks, adventure playgrounds, just generally a fun car, looked at all sorts from these tiny little brushless and nitro cars (1:18??) I don't know how quick they are, right up to the 1:6 FG marders. Ultimate speed isn't really that important, I had a schumacher fusion which was insane, and radio controlled car that is quicker than some full size cars cannot be a good idea! It was fun though. What's important is firstly nothing too delicate, I don't want to jump a car and have wishbones or shock towers break, I don't want to be having to buy hop ups, I don't care if it is electric, petrol or nitro. But at the same time it mustn't be really slow, I had a tamiya Blackfoot that I took as part ex and it was rubbish it crawled along, and didn't even have the guts to go off road.

1 word..........FUN!

Suggestions?

I had a HPI rush evo for a few weeks (another cheapie bought in to make profit) and wasn't impressed to be honest. The pull start was poor quality, the top links used to jump off, the whole package felt cheap and not very solid, I sold it before it broke anything expensive. Is the savage the big truck? I'm not really in to big trucks, thinking more along the buggy side of things really, a stadium truck is ok, but I do prefer buggies.
