Been thinking about starting a collection of diecast models but for some reason have always been preoccupied with 1:18. Having see this and the detail of some of these 1:43's I may have to go this route - take up a whole lot less space also!
Do you stick with one manufacturer, or are they various? Which ones offer the best range of models, level of detail against price? Have been looking a bit at Minichamps and they seem good.
Got to convince the Mrs that a display cabinet full of model cars is the right thing to have in the living/dining room!
I used to be a 1:18 collector , sold them all years back. Come back now as a 1:43 collector and i have not looked back , there is some great stuff out there.Do you stick with one manufacturer, or are they various? I have to admit that those HPI seem to be highly detailed and the mould quality is very impressive. I wonder if they've developed a new way to manufacturer or use a different material which results in finer details...
They are still using standard diecast techniques as far as i know. But they have hit the diecast market with a massive bang. Nothing but good reviews.I hope they expand their range more by this time next year. If they do we are in for some real treats
