First attempt after ten years out....
Discussion
Hi
As an avid reader of this forum, I thought it about time I contributed. This is a practice run for a build I will be doing on Britmodeller.
Sorry about the bad quality pics, they were taken this morning on a camera phone, with a tea towel as a background . I will get some better ones up soon.

It took far too long, probably 30-35hrs broken up over 4 weeks (I moved house in the middle of that too)
Like the Q-tips tip. I had been using and old trimmed brush which made it a little tricky for fine applications. I have been stalking your 109 build and thinking that I need to get myself a test mule and have a go.
Thanks for that.

My 1/144 Globemaster took about 25 hours, and it wasn't really detailled or a complicated colour scheme, so you did very well with your model.
Picked a couple of these up last week, they seem to work great at least on a test piece. And you get a fancy double-ended Q-tip/brush into the bargain!
I didn't build an interior and it is all mostly one colour, the stowage is what sucked up the time. My next project is a 1/35 German halftrack for the Blitzkrieg group build.. I have more resin extras for that than Hannants.Picked a couple of these up last week, they seem to work great at least on a test piece. And you get a fancy double-ended Q-tip/brush into the bargain!
I haven't tried the tamiya weathering powders, they look expensive so just bought a box of mixed pastels and ground them on some wet and dry. They look very fine though, I would be interested to see how they apply.
