RE: Peugeot Plans a TT Rival
Discussion
Typically over detailed front end (and, as a previous contributor noted, the guppy grills are not attractive). The rampant lion looks really forced into the bonnet edge (Renault fallen into the same trap on the Twingo) and then the hard line of the bonnet panel gap clashes with all the other curves. I'd push the lion down, dividing the grill and lap the bonnet as a single piece all the way to the front. Crash regs aside, there'd be some duplication of the front bumper/impact area under the bonnet that would push up the costs.
Are those fog lamps inset as disk brake ducts? Don't think it works, but it's better than Renault's solution on the Mégane sport where the fog laps bulge out.
The A-pillar has a clean line and the evocative double hump in the roof line gets a thumbs up. Door handles need some work on them as they don't meet the "hewn from a single piece of metal" ethos (and this handle-over-scoop design always get the door badly scratched from rings).
Wing mirrors are really bad (anyone noticed the last minute indicator repeaters on the stems). They are over-sized (although probably production sized) and mounting them on the door skin brings mounting problems.
Like the way the window cuts into the door top, it adds strength to the rear quarter where those integrated wheel arches strut their stuff. The dominant side skirt is a Marmite feature, personally I like it.
Alloys have 5 point fixing - no way that'll go into production. I'll not comment on the design as there'll undoubtedly be a whole selection of alternatives from Peugeot & after market.
Filler cap right over the rear wheel makes one wonder where the suspension mounting points / hose would be packaged. Could it be hidden behind one of the quarterlights? It would clean up the line along the rear quarter.
2+2 is where it really falls down for me. Drop that and sell it as a pure 2 seater with a big boot (enough for 2 mountain bikes - 2 seats, 2 bikes). No rear seats, belt mounting points, dodgy tilting front seats would pare down the weight.
Summary, there are some weak points, primarily the fussy corporate grill and mirrors on a very strong design. I'd prefer it to a CC as it could be lighter and more rigid so handle better. And that's what PHers want.

Definitely a CC - no-one would design a car that was that shape at the back otherwise. It looks awful.
7.0 seconds to 60 from 200bhp does seem a bit pathetic really. That's the same as a Golf GTi which is 150kg heavier.

nope its not, www.carmagazine.co.uk have more detail, this a 2+2 coupe pure and simple... CC will follow, but won't look like this.
