207 head gasket
Discussion
hi i recently purchased a 207 1.4 2009 private i put it in for a service oil change ect when it was returned it said oil leak on head gasket £589.85 to rectify i contacted peugeot direct stating that it would seem to be a known fault i then contacted the garage again and ask them to submit a claim they phoned back the next day to say when did i want to book the car in for the repair FOC its booked in for next week nothing to lose by playing your face like i have done give it a try GOOD LUCK
I had the same issue on my 59 plated 207 verve and has been 'fixed' under the extended warranty. I'm no expert when it comes to cars (the complete opposite if I'm totally honest), but I know something's not right with the car now I have it back.
Since I've had the car back I've noticed that there's a bit of a clunking noise from time to time when changing gear when coming off the biting point, the computer isn't accurate for my fuel levels any more, it thinks I have enough fuel for 162 miles, the same figure it was before I did a 90 odd mile journey on the weekend! Also, when going 70, it's now pulling 4-4.5k revs in 5th gear whereas before, it was doing between 1500-2500.
Before I go back to the garage to have a moan, does anyone have any ideas what could be causing these issues??
Thanks
