Replacement 172 Exhaust
Discussion
Just come back from having it fitted at my local garage and giving it a bit of a hoon - am impressed so far.
While it sounds a bit quieter than I expected (possibly as I'd got used to the extra noise of the dying OEM backbox) is got an aggresive wail at around 4000rpm, but having found a local airfield to experience 3 figures I caa report that it's not boomy at all, as wind and tyre noise takes over well before that point.
All told, the exhaust (with 5% cliosport.net discount), fitting and my donation to that crook at #11 was £391, a bit more than I'd expected to pay originally (just wanted a back box), but it's a quality bit of kit and should survive a lot better than the soft steel rubbish Renault supplies.
