Hi Everyone, I need you advice please.

I've just tried to start my 1990 Turbo R (I take her out at the drop of a hat so she goes out frequently)but she refused to turn over and start. The 'SYSTEMS CHECK' green light comes on at the bottom of the facia panel, then goes off after the manual states after four seconds if nothing is wrong, and again as it states in the manual "If all the systems are satisfactory, the warning message will be replaced by the combined battery and engine oil pressure symbols". That happens.

What worries me is the rapid click, click, click, click, click, click noise thats coming from the rear nearside when I turn the ignition key to start her up. I've never known that before.

Can anyone advise me what the problem could be please? If it was just a flatish battery surely she would just sound sluggish in trying to start? Why is she making that clicking noise? Why after nearly 4 years of owning her has she suddenly decided to 'SYSTEMS CHECK'? I'm bemused.

PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN........Thank you!

I'll get the battery tested / charged and see if that makes a difference. Theres fuel in her and the low fuel light does not light up.

New battery solved the problem. 'Hatty' is now outside the house having had all her fluids checked, tyre pressures checked, brake adjusted (gosh that's so easy - thanks BG) and ready for more fun. Thanks everyone. Phew!!!
