Hi all, I’m considering a used Bentayga, budget £90-110k.

I’ve never owned a 12 cylinder car and love the idea of massive torque in W12 Bentleys. Sadly, “regular” W12s were discontinued in 2018 and I’d prefer a newer car.

Absolutely important to me is that the ride isn’t crashy. My experience of low profile tyres is that they compromise ride quality on potholes, speed bumps etc (plenty where I live).

3 options I’m considering
A: 2018 W12. Well within budget
B: 2019/20 Speed W12. Newer car which is my preference but I worry that the 22 inch wheels will be a pain around town.
C: 2020/21 V8.

Tempted to go with option B, assuming I can fit used 21 inch wheels over Speed’s calipers (which would surely make the ride much less harsh, and I’d worry less about kerb damage).

Views? Thanks!

Yours is a Continental and not Bentayga but would you say there is enough space around front calipers to fit 21 inch wheels?

V8 vs W12 is something I’ve definitely thought about. It’s the massive torque which is very compelling.

I haven’t looked into warranties yet. On my Porsches I’ve always bought Porsche warranty even when the car hadn’t been bought from a Porsche dealer. Is that not an option with Bentleys? Pay £2000 (or whatever it is on the Bentayga) to Bentley after original 3 year warranty is up, service with the dealer, renew annually, done?
