Hi folks,

My Dad is looking at picking up a used one of these tomorrow, and I will go along for the ride. Does anyone know much about them? Any 'must have' extras on them? Any service/reliability issues (coil packs??) we should look out for?

Many thanks

cheers guys...

when you say 'early ones', how early do you mean, and what is wrong with them?

had a look at a couple today. He is very keen on the spur, but wasnt keen on the colour combos seen so far. The hunt continues...

Cheers

What is the issue with the centre console?

I know next to nothing about these cars, so any pointers greatly appreciated...

thanks

sorry to sound like an eejit, but does this mean the car came as a 4 or 5 seater (effectively) and that the 5 seater is more desirable?

thanks

Do you mean to say that people buy Bentleys and then pack all their mates in like a loads of chavs going down the town in an old Corsa with wings? Does 4 individual reclining seats not sound much more like the business?

Just to drag this slightly back to the middle, my Dad is 63, so the chances of him taking 3 lovelies home are remote.

However, the search continues. He has the idea that he wants to scour the auctions to pick up a bargain. Any comments on this idea?

thanks again

Does he not fancy an Arnage?
yes, absolutely.

However, he wants something reasonably low mileage, and he hasnt seen an Arnage that suits for much less than £100k... His budget is more like £60k, so they are a bit out of reach...

Edited to add that a good search of classifieds has revealed Arnages at reasonable money. My Dad has been advised... cheers

He picked up a low mileage 2007 5 seater flying spur in dark blue. It is lovely.

Now I just need to persuade him to let me on the insurance!

cheers

Couldnt the warranty be voided by not using a Bentley approved dealer to service it ?
I thought the EU had made that illegal?? could be wrong tho...
