So we are now water tight drink However getting 2885 code and 1/2 CEL when giving it some beans, seems I have a boost deviation issue (oo-er) Off to check my vacuum lines once it has cooled down a bit.

Hopefully an easy fix, the vacuum pump line had come off the solenoid on the bottom of the intake manifold, would have been when I was removing/fitting the water pipe. Piccy of the hardpipe below....seen better days!

Arse, thrown the code again when giving it beans in sport mode. The vacuum pipe didnt feel that tight a fit so think it has dropped off again, down to 15mins getting tbe intake off at the mo......

So this time it was the 2 pipes into the vacuum tank that had come off. The pipes have gone soft so I am going to replace with new silicon hoses, and a bit longer so they are not such an arse to replace

So vacuum hoses swapped out, no more faults beer. Kept the hard lines on the one from the pump and just swapped the joints, and replaced the whole line to the wastegate diaphram.

So the thing is back to being reliable beer So I decided to recover the trim around the start button, after leather covering over the existing PVC trim the key dock never sat flush and sometimes the fob got sticky putting it in/out. This time I stripped off all the PCV cover and glued on the leather, the key dock now sits as it should and the fob goes in/out as expected.

Next job is refurb the original alloys, cannot make my mind up on colour, either silver or flat bronze.....thinking silver would contrast better on the black

Anyone have a link to the instructions for coding the VO for enabling heated seats? I did have it but cannot find it anywhere now. I have added $494 to the VO but still cannot get the seats to work (all hardware in place) I am missing a step somewhere

So problem child is leaking water somewhere, I think I am just going to get a genuine stat housing and crossover pipe and swap them out as I cannot trace it. Track day booked in at Aintree in a month so best get this sorted! Oh and original wheels have gone off for a refurb, hopefully back next week

Also just been faffing about with NCS Expert to sort the seats. Could code the VO fine, but when writing the IHK module the controls wouldn't activate. Long story short i found doing an ECU reset on the KOMBI ecu from Bimmercode has enabled the heated seats, result! on the hottest day of the year I can have an extra hot arse!! furious

thanks, will give it a go. Still need to sort the slight water loss, its not been getting much use of late so on a back burner. Also looks like the vacuum pump to head oil seal is weeping a bit....gotta love these leaky engines!!

So full external dechrome kit just ordered from Killallchrome....that wasn't cheap! BUT man maths mean it saved me money on a new set of wheels as I thing the bronze allys will be okay with no chrome on the car!

I have a masters degree in man maths....and an empty wallet
