It can be economical however I'm blipping the throttle on every down change and love the noise it makes so mpg is not thought about much.

Because I am very sad I have recorded the economy of my 2005 R53 Cooper S since January 10th 2011 using iPhone app RoadTrip Lite (free).

Milage = 11,471
Average mpg = 32.94
80% of this is A road driving in 50mph commuter traffic.
I've done similar ... since Jan 5th 2011.

Mileage: 10,411
Avg mpg: 30.96

Around 60% A roads and Motorways, 40% city centre.

Best tank avg: 34.28
Worst tank avg: 27.83

Slow? That's a term I'd definitely use to describe the CTR!
