I think that looks great.

I agree that the chrome still overpowers the look but do your belt line and it will be on its way.

The all black grill on the 2nd gen Mini looks great.

I have a large amount of chrome and all black grill on my R53 and think it looks ok:

From MINI, thepsrts guy should be able to find them, IMHO they should come with the aerokit
Cost peanuts, £7 rings a bell
Yes stick on, spray the area with soapy water first, fit the plastic (not stickers!) inserts and leave to dry
