AUX connection questions...
Discussion
Hello,
Just brought a Mini Cooper S on a 04 plate.
Its got a single CD Player with boost feature (whateve that is ??)
I have a iPhone and want to connec to the AUX connection to play music in my new mini !
I carnt see a option on the controls for the CD player for AUX. But am guessing once i plug the cable in it will appear under the mode selection.
Where and how much does a AUX cable cost ? and how easy are they to fit ?
Any other info/advice would be great
Thanks Ben

The aux cable for the Boost head unit is about £35 from BMW/MINI.
It's a bit of a pain to fit as you have to remove the head unit and that involves taking out a few trim items...etc
There's a few guides with pics on mini2.co.uk if you look in the faq/diy section.
When the aux lead is in, you get an 'aux' option when you press the source button.

Hello,
I managed to fix the AUX lead yesterday and its working great !
BMW main dealer wanted to charge £60 for the lead, got the same one of ebay for £40!!
Like you said theres loads of guides on mini2.com that was a massive help.
I had to remove the glove box, which was 5 screws ! really reall easy.
When the glove box was removed it gave access to the rear of the head unit.
Plugged the aux into the free port and thats it ! it then showned the option on the head unit for tuner, cd & aux.
I then just ran the cable into the glove box.
Hope this helps someone else.
