..right chaps.. i am going for some Vredestein Ultracs. i know they won't be uber sticky but they sound a decent compromise and are good in wet apparently.. which i like the idea of. i couldn't find anyones views about them on the MINI so i thought i'd go for it - i'll report back.

lets face it, they cost way less than the runflats and will struggle to be worse (even though i don't actually mind runflats too much).

It's a revelation, runflats make the MINI dangerous in the wet IMHO, i attribute them to why i killed my Cooper.
i've got a slippery diff and if you are on the inside land of the M1 in the rain in the truck ruts... you really don't want to accelerate hard or it wanders all over the shop...

i'd love to have that extra feeling of wet weather 'grip' and frankly 'good' dry grip will be nice too!

once they're bed in i might try and remember to write something about them because i couldn't find any one running these tyres on a mini (r53 or otherwise). evo tried them n a few different cars and were convinced and generally the reviews are good so i thought i'd have a punt.
