Can MINI dealers tell if you have had your ECU re-mapped?
Discussion
Thanks for all the replies everyone. I think i will Give it a miss. i get the maps done for free soeven if it was wiped then it wouldnt particularly matter. It seems like more hassle than its worth on the warranty side though.
I know i could get them to set the map back to origional before serivcing etc... but they are quite a journey away and it would be easier to make do how it is.
Thanks for everyones input

Hi there - hope this is of some use but only Volkswagon / Audi group cars may have a flash counter.
neither the R56 or the R50/R53 variant MINIs have a flash counter.
All mapping is invisible to Dealership diagnostics - however the power difference maybe noticed by an experienced technician on a test drive.
We offer a back to standard free service for anyone who is still worried when they want to take their car in for warranty work - however my car (R56 Cooper S) has been in many times since an ECU Remap and has never had a query.
Thanks, greatly appreciatedneither the R56 or the R50/R53 variant MINIs have a flash counter.
