Mellow, 76 is looking good but part of me says I liked it better in Yellow..
You're as bad as Huntsman, I liked it in yellow too but there was no shortage of people who hated it, new colour not so marmite and I like that too. Chartreuse looked good with the Wolfies, black skirt, vents and black bumper trim but I don't think it would have looked right with everything else reverting back to a more standard appearance, I did a photoshop and it looked odd:

Chartreuse only really belongs on two cars IMHO:

Sold it yet GK52?

Just noticed the car in the background of your above photo (along with the Rover): are you doing a Chris Evans? I.e. all your car have to be the same colour!
It was going that way, my A6 is gunmetal last Griff was gunmetal too but the new one is black. Rover is actually dk green but doesn't show very well in the photo.

I'd not heard of Gordon Keeble until I was at goodwood thoroughbred breakfast club, I saw 3 there as I recall and I must say, I'm a little besotted.

They have beautiful lines and a classic interior. The ones I saw at gw were a credit to the owners.
Nice to be appreciated smile I remember feeling much the same way at Silverstone about 25 years ago.

Is anyone able to post a photo of a car with the original bonnet stay, specifically where it hinges? All the photos I have, show it vanishing somewhere near the fluid reservoirs but I can't see where it would've been fixed on 76.

Hi Mellow, here is the bonnet strut locating point on 97 - hope it help you.
Spoke to Alan Mason with 60 at the 50th & I am sure he has wider wheels but the standard steering box. I am undecided as to what to do,but I am drawn to the slightly wider wheels. His car looked fantastic in that blue.
Cheers, that's exactly what I was after, was good to have a chat on the phone too.

Any Keeblers going to be at the Goodwood revival in a couple of weeks time? Chassis 48 is in final debug and will be in the Revival Car Park on Saturday and Sunday, possibly Friday as well. Hope to see other GKs there. I have entered it in the Revival competition and the shortlist (of 10 cars) for each day is published on the Goodwood site. Chassis 48 is listed for Saturday and its now for the public vote - so get voting chaps !!
81 has a slot in the revival car park on Friday, its also entered in the competition so I can feel some 'Eurovision' style voting coming on! See you and any others there.

76 will also be there, just on the Sunday. Vote placed.

Now this should be interesting.. Good luck GK52, not sure you will need it
Going going gone: http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/list/72/ judging by the testiminial "Amazing response from the Car And Classic advert. Over 1200 hits lots of viewings and a sale inside two weeks." it sold quite easily. Does this mean GK52 will become GK75?

Congrats on the sale of you're beautiful car GK52! (soon to be GK75) If only I knew sooner then I would have bought it because I really , really love these cars! Went to the Beaulieu for the big 50th birthday party & I really enjoyed seeing so many of these rare oft forgotten classics & chatting to their very friendly owners. I even sat in one too! Couldn't believe how comfortable they are & how much they suit my style. Let alone how easy it was to get in & out of for a man of my stature. (Kind of big & fat..) I also went to Goodwood for the pre 66 BC not that long ago only to be greeted by 3 more!

They do have Their quarks but, the next time one comes up for sale & that I have the cash, I'd want to be the first one there to buy it! Even if it needs a decades worth of work to get it back in shape!
Join the GKOC RSD_25, let the club secretary know you're after one and you'll be the among first to find out when the next one comes up. Even when they aren't sold through the club, the owners are pretty quick to let the club know when one's advertised. I believe there are one or two owners about to put cars on the market, in a variety of conditions.

Saw 48 at The Revival on Saturday phj, looked fantastic, 76 was in Classic parking not 50ft from it. Mike W kept quiet about getting his into the "Earls Court Motorshow", quite a coup, in good company too, TVR Griffith 500, Iso Grifo and De Tomaso Mangusta - Pretty much my dream garage. Will get a few pics up when I've got them off the camera.

...Sorry for poor photo quality, only too snappy camera and conditions not ideal in most cases.

One for you Mellow..
Currently for sale, £75k, and it's LHD. Not one of Giugiaros prettiest IMHO, bonnet scoop seems familar though.

Painted the bedroom yesterday, can't believe the colour Mrs Yellow chose:

Friend got a better pic of 76 (although he might have shut the door properly first!), just to show I made the effort too.

Looks fabulous Mellow, worth all the time & money spent and is that you in the period outfit?
Yep, not really terribly 'period' but in keeping with the event.

Nice pictures everyone. Mellow: 75 and 76 don't look much like their respective snapshots on the club web site any more!
...Have supplied an updated snap but these things take time to filter through.

Hi Mellow Yellow, I haven't seen GK76 since I was a young lad when my father, who originally bought it from GK, used to take me to school in it.

I am delighted that it is in such good condition and even though it isn't in the original Burgundy - it looks fantastic,

I'm new to pistonheads so don't know if it is possible to get in contact privately, but if it is, please do so. I would love to see the car again - some 40+ years on!
uppy12313, good to hear from you, I've mailed you my details.

Chef, did anything come of this? I need a pair.
Afraid not, I'd already cut some from sheet rubber (or similar) for 76 which reduced the urgency, to be honest you'd never tell without getting very close.

Took the GK to Goodwood afterall as needed a third seat but ended up hidden away near the "Earls Court Motorshow" building behind a hedge. Did see that Ch60 had a "For Sale" note on it, looks like Ch43 has changed hands again too, see here.

Looking good Daryl, amazing what can be achieved with a tub of Isopon and some silver paint wink

Seriously, keep the pics coming, always nice to see one being restored.

Just got my spinners back from the chrome platers, thanks to Hunstman for finding Roy at Kacimac Ltd, Waterlooville. Finally somebody who can turn the stuff around in 2-3 weeks, is very reasonably priced and does a very nice job, shame I didn't know about him before I had the rest of the chrome done.
Before and after below:

Just need to put them back on and it's Ch 76 Exterior = Done smile

Thanks to Paul and the club for organising a very enjoyable day at Wellington College, good turn out of cars too with ten in total. I shan’t steal the clubs thunder with a full line up photo, which I’m sure will appear in the next club magazine but here’s a couple of tasters for those who couldn’t make it.

Also two from the Goodwood 73rd Members Meeting. An ex Tazio Nuvolari Alfa Romeo 8C, on closer inspection, the Italian used the tortoise on his race cars as it was the provincial badge of the Mantua part of Italy:

Finally, I also spotted this "motoring life" on the stand of motoring artist, Richard Wade. Not sure if it's a genuine owners motoring history or if it's something the artist made up to promote his work. Two GKs feature, Ch65 and Ch79 (now in NZ) so it seems unlikely they were owned by the same person:

Any owners planning of being at Goodwood on Sunday? I've just had an email Informing me Ch76 has not been selected for display within the circuit frown Presumably because I only applied yesterday, sure I did "Supercars" there in 2014 or 2013.

Good to see my brother's artistry ! Well spotted Mellow- presumably you saw him at the Goodwood members meeting.
Yes, it was at the Members meeting. Funnily enough I spoke to Willie Green when I was looking for a GK, he does a bit of car finding on the side. He did try to talk me out of it in favour of a Jensen (either 541 or CV8, I can't remember which!), but I wasn't to be swayed. David filled me in on a lot of the above but nice to have it from the horses mouth, " chassis 93 - previously heralded as the perfectly preserved Gordon Keeble"
