Thank you, third time lucky
This morning I was having a bit of a lie in as the Tiv is being serviced and couldn't drop it off until 8.30am. My only neighbour under 50 decided it would be a good idea at 7.00am to jump start his diesel van from his MGF and sat outside the adjacent houses revving the balls out of it - Not consistently, oh no, pulsing the throttle.
9.00am on Sunday morning I think I'll do the same with the Tiv outside his front door after he's been on the lash on Saturday night (rolls home pi$$ed as a fart about 4.00am every Sunday morning usually talking to his G/F at the top of his voice). All the over 50's should be up anyway
There was of course the obligatory Golf Gti that thought he was faster than a 4 litre sub 1 tonne car, but then again, how much brains do you need to buy a Golf?

Well, this morning was a gem in the crown of driving stupidity!
Firstly an obviously observant and intelligent person in a white Peugeot 206 was overtaking on tne new A6 stretch (Desborough bypass) on the two lane stretch passed a stream of traffic in thick fog and almost met a lorry head on - both he and lorry were only dsplaying sidelights! Worse still, I caught up with him later on the A14 (without trying) and he had a kid in the passenger seat!!!!
Once on the A14, still in thick fog, I was followed by a Fiesta with full beam on and he wasn't taking any hints.
The traffic was really bad so I nipped off the A14 and down the back roads. I arrived at a T junction to find a van stopped across the exit meaning I had to squeeze round the back of him and exit the side turning blind. He was reading a map!!!!
Back on the A14 further down and in traffic again. Moving at 5mph and started to indicate to move into a gap on the inside lane behind me so I could leave at the next exit in 1/2 mile. The black Pug that was on the inside lane suddenly closed the gap and deliberately blocked me all the way to the exit even though he could have passed me and allowed me to drop in behind him.
Approaching Bar Hill, a 3 lane stretch which is solid traffic in all 3 lanes: inside lane doing 20mph as it emerges onto carriageway from slip, middle lane whicjh I am in is doing circa 70mph, outside lane doing 80+ and a white Escort Van decided he should really be in the middle lane - No indication pulls right out in front of me. I hit the brakes as I had nowhere to go and I heard the squelaing of tyres behind me. No idea if there was an incident as I couldn't see or stop. The Escort driver is probably one of those people that has never had an accident but has seen hundreds in his mirrors.
Just as an aside, when queing in traffic, why do people leave huge gaps that caus ethe queues to be much longer than they really could/should be?
It was quite an adventure this morning but NOT in a good way.
Anyway, work beckons!
