yes True, but don`t forget the Sywell meet is "our" monthly event and we can change it if need be. Obviously not next month though.
Ashby Folville isn`t our meet and as far as I know has always been 2nd tuesday of the given month.

agreed, the Sywell meet is 'our' meet, don't take this the wrong way anyone, but as our meet is up and running, why should we change to suit something that hasn't even started yet, can't this new meet change its date to suit us?
As you say, AF isn't our meet, but you wouldn't expect them to move their dates to suit something that we are going to arrange on the same day.
Maybe the best idea would be to just let them organise this to suit what they want, leave the Northants meet on the 1st Sunday, and if they're both on the same day, then so be it. you're never going to please everyone

Hard to argue with that.

Looking back to the early Kettering meets, we did originally start on Wednesdays, but moved to Thursdays. Can`t remember why? I vote we go back to Wenesdays.

It`s a midweek thing.

Hi

I am sure everyone realises no one is suggesting you should change your date.

The guys organising this didn't know there was another meet in the county that clashed. I have let them know and will let you know when they come back to me.

At the end of the day this is all about like minded people getting together and either they will change their date or if not maybe both meets will combine once in a while. That could work both ways sometimes the Boddington meet comes and joins Pistonheads at their venue and vice versa and sometimes just meet sepreately.

Does that make sense?

Kind regards,

Robin

Clashes are inevitable as I have found out.

PH Warks & West Mids have decided to drop in on various meets throughout the season so that we don't miss too much.

I will go to Upper Boddington and Ashby Folville at some point whatever date they are.

Hi Guys,
My first post on this forum.
I run a website called classiccarmeets.com
Let me have your dates for your meetings, and I will post on the site.
The site is aimed at promoting the "Pub Car Park" type of meets. If the event is free to enter, then inclusion on the site is also free.
I also try to attend as many local meets (to Market Harborough)as possible, with either my 1971 Gentry, or my 1977 Dolomite 1850.(currently in need of an exhaust)

By the way its Black Horse at Foxton Sunday 18th at 11.30

wavey Welcome to Northants PH! A few of us came to Foxton last summer.
Currently we`ve got a weekly pub meet at the Trading Post in Kettering, and a monthly "county PH" meet at Sywell Aerodrome. (1st sunday of the month) Next month`s Sywell meet is the finishing post for the well established "Northants/Dunstable run". Runners and riders are listed on the Events Forum. All these events are open.

Hi Dave, thanks for the concern. I've had overheating problems with the Rover for some time but thought it was down to a loss of pressure in the rad but turns out the head gasket has gone. Benson will be ready for the April Road run one way or another. Failing that it will be the Chimaera to the rescue!
