Emma is playing qualifier Linda Noskova shortly in first round match at the French Open. (15:00 UK time estimated)

It looks like coverage of the tournament on ITV4 has ceased...?!

Just lost the 1st set 7-6 (7-4) in tie break. Emma took the 2 opening games, then it was hard fought to the end by the look of it..
Only watching text scoring..!

Emma doesn't quit - Has only withdrawn from a match when she's unfit to continue.....

Back to this evenings match - She's just won the decider 6-1 biggrin

If she can reach 4 or 5 Grand Slam title wins by the age of 25, that would be quite a successful playing career IMO.

Of course, there is no way of knowing what's to come - but she will have a successful career no matter what.

I'd like to see her win a few more slams though... smile

Plays her 1st Round match at Nottingham Open today against Victorija Golubic. Start time approx. 12:40pm.
Goes into the tournament still without a permanent coach in place though...!

Hoping she'll have a good start to her grass season in build up to Wimbledon.... smile

What crap luck, injured again after three games!
My thoughts exactly...! I do wonder how she gets through such a routine and regular training programme, yet when it comes to matches she seems vulnerable to injury....

Edit: Looked better in that break of serve smile

Retired injured. Abdominal or stomach issue. Trainer called in after 2nd game in 1st set and treated her after each game before retiring in game 8. Biggest issue looked like her serve which she could quite literally just place into opponents court with very little on it..
If Emma was aware of this issue it may have been better withdrawing from Nottingham to focus on Wimbledon......
Another difficult day in her tennis career.... frown

Has encouraging results following a scan. Looks like she will miss the Rothesay Classic tournament next week in Birmingham, but will play at the Rothesay International tournament in Eastbourne the following week.

Emma starts her Wimbledon campaign this afternoon on Centre Court against Alison Van Uytvanck (World ranking now 46)
Likely to be quite a challenge, and that's if Emma doesn't pick up another injury...!
Come on Emma biggrin

Caroline Garcia's experience showed today, as Emma didn't really turn up in this match.

Plus-side, no injury as she gains experience and learns more in every tournament.
