www,cricket.com.au has radio from 4 broadcasters. Not sure if it is available outside Oz. You have to register but it is free.
TMS is on the BBC website or it was when I looked.

Still think Cook is not scoring enough and has not done so for a while yet. I get the feeling he is playing on history.
Our #2 in fine form though, has he got less than 50 yet? Average must be very good.
I have not changed my viewpoint on both ... Cook's average is less than 10 I think for all the matches out there....Our #2 in fine form though, has he got less than 50 yet? Average must be very good.

Just been looking at it from a few angles - what was he doing?
Played away from his body and then stopped the shot (or slowed it down) He played it away from him and in front of his knee, hence giving a catch. Ideally you'd play the ball with the bat sloping backwards so the ball goes down. Or if you are going to play like that on the up, then much more bat speed in the swing to clear the infield

An interesting test to listen to on TMS, though I keep falling asleep for periods.
We need to get 300 again I think, then the draw more than likely, which will be ok for us from here. The spirit seems pretty good so far.
Agree a 250+ lead here will be enough for the draw. But getting there might be tough.... Aussie tails are up as they know they are still in with a great shout if they roll us for 250 or less. Smith scored very very slowly, mostly as the bowling was really tight - so for the Aussies upping the pace of scoring in a chase might give us more opportunities.
Woakes not looking the destroyer though is he ? Suspect on a quicker track he is going to be boundary fodder, there is just something missing. Hard to explain but he doesn't have an aura of threat like top class bowlers.
Marshal, Holding, Ambrose, Willis, Anderson, Donald...Woakes. Just doesn't intimidate.

If Root and Stoneman can resist the onslaught tomorrow morning, forget hooking, forward defensive no runs. Boring boring England, then we should get the draw at least and off to better places. And 5-0 is defeated.
It's all in the mind at the moment. A lot of people have written England off, the average score for people on TMS were saying 3-1 to the OZ, Feck them. It's defeatism before we even batted.
Given that has been ok so far from our guys. I think this is making them stronger. To be honest Oz only are up because of the captain so far,
No collapse please. Graft and grit your way to 300 again. Sorted.
Only a few hours to go. I have my trusty AKG headphones and when my wife says" what's that hard thing in the bed?" I can honestly say a Duke County ball

Anyone else a bit concerned about Root?
I haven't checked the figures but he seems to score a lot of 50s and not convert them.
Smith's big century is effectively the difference between the sides.
Bit blurry with the figures but he has 33 50's and 13 centuries in test cricket, so given that he has passed fifty 46 times in total, it means he has a conversion rate of 28%. The batsmen with the best records are between 40% and 50% generally. I haven't checked the figures but he seems to score a lot of 50s and not convert them.

So yes, you're right.
