Bunting was on fire! MvG will struggle against him if he's playing like that.

So hard to pick a winner this year but I think the final might be Smith vs Humphries. Smith to take the title but only just.

Smith better improve rapidly if he wants the title this year!

Agreed on current showings but it's early days.

Price now out, I didn't have Dolan down for the win. It's absolutely wide open this year!

Barney on this afternoon, seeing another win for him will keep my festive spirit very much alive.

Yup, would be great to see Barney through to then play Littler.

With Barney being his hero, you hope he won't get starstruck.

Fingers crossed for this afternoon.

Great matches tonight. MVG vs Bunting has the makings of a classic.

Poor game from Bunting, he's better than that display but can't take anything away from mvg, just demolished him to be fair!

It is now! Unbelievable from Dobey, never saw that coming at all.

TBH I saw that coming for Smith. MVG has to be in pole now?

Yeah, must be.

I’m a massive RVB fan, but not sure I can see him getting past the teenager. Even if he does, can’t see anyone getting past MVG when it comes to the crunch.

If he's at the top of his game I think Humphries will be hard to beat. He didn't crack against MvG in the player championship final last month.

Smith hasn’t been playing well for months, it’s no surprise he has been knocked out. I thought Humphries would win it before the tournament started. But it is looking more like it’s going to be MVG again, he had Bunting beat today before a dart was thrown. At this stage of the tournament it’s mostly mental strength and determination to win, since they are all capable of amazing darts.
It will be interesting to see how Barney does against Littler, since all Littlers other opponents have gave him an easy ride so far, and the media are giving him to much hype. Similar to when Fallon first played at the worlds.

Pleased to see Gary Anderson giving the media a hard time regards Littler , leave the kid alone to play but of course they can't as has been seen time and time again in UK sports .
MVG strong as ever .

My predictions are:-

1/4 finals:-
Dobey vs Cross
Littler vs Anderson
MVG vs Williams
Humphries vs Chizzy

Semi's
Dobey vs Anderson
MVG vs Humphries

Final
Dobey vs MVG

Clayton, Heta and Humphries all Squeaked through their last round games, they need to up their games to progress.
For me the unknowns are Littler and Anderson, Littler for obvious reasons. Anderson hasn't played as well as he could for the last couple of years, this year however he seems to have got into his stride again.

Having said that I can't see past MVG, with the exception of Dobey, if his opponents don't step it up he only needs to bring his "B" game to end up champ, again!

Does anybody else find Cross thoroughly painful to watch? His action is just so unpleasant.
