I'm just looking at getting back into golf after a break of 6 years or so. Which is the 'best' UK online golf store?
Thanks.
There isn't one, few lessons with a local pro who can advise...Thanks.
If he recommends you pay 1000's then run....start cheap and slow...eBay's good...
Costco do an amazing starter set that are budget Callaway , have won universal praise!

Well my handicap is through, 20. Which is fair because that's exactly what my cards say I'm playing like but yesterday I did 9 holes in 42 so I know where I need to be on a regular basis.
Hit some good irons so a set of modern irons could be on the horizon but I realise I've got no feel whatsoever with my putter. It's an old blade, anyone recommend a new putter that will make a difference?

I've just moved to a shorter face balanced mallet style putter from a Newport style for the first time. I wish I had done so years ago. Its an Odessey stroke lab double wide. Putters are an amazingly personal thing. For instance there have been some lovely putters mentioned so far, however I know from experience I wouldn't be able to hit any of them for toffee due to my stroke. If you're looking to buy new then the world is your oyster, I'd go to a big American Golf or a local fitter and get a proper fitting so you can see what style of putter works best for you - then you've got a base to work from. There's so much out there the bigger issue is too much choice tbh. Still plenty of blade style putters which feel the best but are harder to use, mallets which are great on short putts but harder to judge the pace with, mid mallets for people like me with a heavily arced stroke - so I'd get out there and try a few.

Thanks, and those comments before. Crazy prices for putters now, but if I find one that works for me then it would be worth it. I can never hit the ball hard enough on a long putt except very dry summers with fast greens so maybe I need a heavier putter, and lots of practice again. There's so much out there the bigger issue is too much choice tbh.
