Yes, Emma has a blister on her racket hand again which is concerning. She plays Ludmilla Samsonova later today in Quarter Final match.

How good Giorgi would have been without her weird Dad, we’ll never know. I hope Raducanu isn’t suffering the same sort of thing.

I see Emma took it to a tie-breaker in the 1st set, only to lose it 7-0....!
Whatever she had at the US Open last year looks long gone...... Her success came when she was largely unknown..

Think Williams had a slight strain or something, people are trying to make out the organisers are trying to reschedule to sell more tickets !!

The thing is, some of those who bought tickets for Monday expecting to see this match in particular are seeking refunds..

Emma beats Serena 6-4 6-0. Obviously Serena is on her way out, but Emma will remember this one I'm sure.
I'm the first to admit that Emma would be unlikely to win against the competitive Serena from a few years back....

Emma was charming as ever in her post-match interview, clearly just being on the same court as Serena meant a lot to her.
I think she wants to succeed in tennis and does have the right attitude to do so..
Her ambition is in place, and if she can maintain a high level of fitness with a team pulling in the same direction, there is no reason she cannot have further success.
She faces quite a challenge later today against Victoria Azarenka though..
