Got to say this green jacket thing in a studio is a bit wk, should be presented on the final green for the friends and interviews, not sure why they think it is a good idea.

Not a big golf fan but always watch Augusta.

To witness Tiger Woods being able to come back from his demons and injuries is unbelievable.

What an amazing fairytale win.

Just shows that even when people think you are finished you can still make it.

Still not a big fan of Woods the man – he could have been more gracious in mentioning the opposition this weekend – but you can't deny the wonder of the physical and mental comeback.

'Gracious' and 'Tiger Woods' are not often seen in the same sentence.

I get the not liking Tiger bit I have been there myself he was way too aggressive and not respectful of his opponents.
However who amongst us could have every detail of their private life and fall from the top so publicly displayed and then have major health problems and surgery the guy is just incredible

He seems to have an unrivalled ability to filter out absolutely everything, not just crowds but also competitors. If he wants to be truly liked he will need to switch that filter off after a tournament but I'm guessing he has always chosen achievement over love.

He’s basically one of the coldest characters in sport. Most people after such a story would have collapsed on the green, tears in full flow: the American redemption story in full effect.

Not Tiger. But then again, makes him the competitor that he is.

Private life! No, it was anything but. He was banging waitresses and barmaids and hookers all over the place. That’s not a private life. He brought it all on himself.

He looked human today. Good on him for his comeback. But if he had stayed straight and honest, he should have won 25 majors by now, maybe more.

He also came back from sports injuries. Not health problems.

Given his job was golf... Health problems incurred during his work...

Not a 5-a-side injury as a cost accountant.

Fantastic to see such a comeback.

I do think the 'GOAT' comments are bold though. People have short memories.

This is one of the most incredible comebacks in sporting history.

Dislike Tiger the man if you like, but as a sportsman he is genuinely amazing. I never back him as I'm not a fan, yet I was willing him to win by the back nine. If you love golf, you need to realise that we are witnessing the GOAT. That is something special, something to admire and enjoy.

On 12, when he bailed left for a safe par, you could have bet your house on the result.

18 though, fking hell redface

I love golf, I bloody love it. Especially Masters and Open, which always deliver.

I just missed out on some dollar for Poults and Ricky, a lot of great players and great shots as always.

At first, I thought it was a cake!

TL:DR

Why did they refer to the spectators as 'patrons'?

I think this was one of the most staggering achievements in sport, let alone golf. I was never a huge Woods fan, but you don't have to be to appreciate this. His mental powers are second to none. His body has been pretty much smashed to pieces by the modern game (which he ironically helped create). Competing with the likes of Kooeka, Johnson etc off the tee after a back fusion is just remarkable. But it's his focus that I find incredible. He was a bit choked up in the presentation room so I think he's able to turn this intensity on and off at will.

Really felt for Molinari and his two visits to the drink on the back 9. He'd been rock solid until that 12th hole.

As for Woods, I'll freely admit to him not being my favourite individual over the past few years but I was very pleased for him, and in awe of his achievement. A great performance, an incredible comeback and my cap is duly doffed.

And good to see his emotion at the end - never seen anything like that from him in the past.

I have a man crush on Molinari.

There.

I've said it now.

I wanted him to win.

he could hardly walk at one point because of the pain.
Some people just find it hard to enjoy other peoples success. I didn't like the MK1 version of Tiger but I thoroughly enjoyed seeing him win again

Agreed. I was being pro-Tiger.
