Did my second Parkrun this year(!) Really need to get back into it. Feel like I've lost all motivation since hitting both my goals (sub 20 min 5k and get the 50 Parkrun t shirt) as I used to go every week.
Managed a 21:53 and had a great sprint finish with another guy over the last 100 metres (I won - just!).

Had a 60 year old fella die in a local gym this week doing circuit training with his PT.

As it's the 12th anniversary it might be a bit busy! There were 1705 when we went for the 10th.It's good to go there to say you've done it, I found it was a bit too busy to consider a good time unless you are fast off the line and get in the right place, but a worthwhile experience. everyone should do it at least once.
The car park is mad afterwards so either park a little way off or don't be in a hurry to leave.

The start line was mad when I did it with just under 1,000. I parked at Hampton Court train station and then jogged in as my warm-up.

1212 finishers at Bushy today. Ended up running from my hotel to Waterloo then Teddington into the park then all in reverse at the end 23km in total.

I've set myself a sub 20 time target too. Currently my PB is 22:31 which I got last week somehow as I felt like I ran awful!Managed a 21:53 and had a great sprint finish with another guy over the last 100 metres (I won - just!).
Did you do anything in particular to lower your times? I'm planning on doing a mix of 5k, 10k and interval training and seeing how I go. I have a good diet and don't drink much alcahol anyway so no major lifestyle change needed!

I did the Fletcher's Cove PR this year. Expected to be a sort of (pathetic) celebrity as from the UK but arrived to find it run by a Geordie, attended by about a dozen Brit couples and several representatives from the EU. Easy out and back run though, despite 98% humidity and about 90 degrees.

Well did my first park run today at Rutland water, was really not sure how I would do as only started running again about 3 weeks ago after many years of not running, so was well chuffed to do it in 28.01. Looking at my split times I started off steady as not sure how it would pan out but did the last km 46 seconds quicker than the first so hopefully by setting the right pace should be able to chip away at the time.
Turned up late today and started at the back. I reckon it took 20 seconds to cross the start line another 20 lost in the traffic. Anyone else have similar experience?
I ran the same as last week, but took a lot more effort. Quite happy now I'm getting back into it. Going to need to visit a flat course in a couple of weeks and try sub 20.
