Don’t see any other 16 year olds doing this, can’t remember any before either.
What a result.
People never used to play darts until they were 18.What a result.
There is so much money involved that kids are starting young now, there is only a few players who play pi55ed now, it’s much more professional.

16, just beaten one of the best of all time, setting up 170’s for fun..not special
Great performance, I really hope he’s got some good people around him to protect him as it’s going to blow up.
I think Gary Anderson was right when he said the press need to back off him a little. He'll potentially go downhill like josh rock did after he was hyped up as the next MvG. Great performance, I really hope he’s got some good people around him to protect him as it’s going to blow up.

First time in my life I've fired up the darts channel on sky, so he's good for the sport.
Been away on a family break and found a quiet bar where one of the TVs seemingly had the darts on 247 (no sound) and I really got quite into it. Travelling home today and was desperate to get back before the lad's match which I did. Glad to see PH is its usual self with some quite strange posts, but incredible calmness for someone his age under such scrutiny.

And this next match illustrates my point nicely. Both averaging over 100 but can't finish.
Luke Littler needs one match where he can't hit his doubles and it'll be down to earth with a bump.
Whatever happens now, he'll be on all year with the PDC circus around the UK and Europe.
Similar to what happened with Fallon Sherrock and (as already said) Radicanu in tennis.
He will either cope with it well, or will disappear without trace (which I hope not, because he is good for publicity)

Wow, you’re a lot of fun. Luke Littler needs one match where he can't hit his doubles and it'll be down to earth with a bump.

What bit have been got wrong?
It’s that your argument is nonsensical. Yes, Littler hit a 105 average in part because he was hitting his doubles - rather an integral part of a player’s average! You can’t chose to erase or disregard them from the statistics to suit your argument. As for the counter argument that Humphries and Cullen are hitting 100 average whilst missing their doubles, as though that adds some credence to your statement… well, there are no words really.

Littler was 50% on his doubles tonight I think. That's bloody good! Its harsh on him to say he can't finish.
What % would have impressed you tonight?
J6542 said:
Averages and double percentages mean very little, it’s about having the nerves to hit the scores and doubles when the pressure is on. All the players on tour can play amazing darts, only a few can hold their nerve to hit the big shots when it counts.
Agreed. Which is why Taylor was so good. I think Luke Littler is genuinely enjoying the ride. He has absolutely nothing to lose.Gassing Station | Sports | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
