Left to drive north from Edinburgh just at kick off - very poor planning but I had limited hopes. A most enjoyable listen on the radio I get home, genuinely surprised Scotland pulled that off. Not seen the game back, but seems to me the tackle and penalty stats were key to the win - Scotland have been playing like this for ages, but then give away critical penalties and yellow cards… not today it seems. Onwards and upwards, really need to make a change and have two good results in a row.

He had the vision to spot the gap between Farrell and Marchant, the power to accelerate through it, past Chessum, stepping Steward, and then JVP while juggling the ball from his right hand to his left hand to fend off Dombrandt.No wonder Townsend described it as like something out of the old "Jonah Lomu Rugby" games.

I thought the difference, in what was on the field a tight game, was that Scotland took unscripted opportunities well and England didn’t react. It looked to me almost if though the england players were over drilled to keep it tight and use muscle, and didn’t know how to deal with the off script plays that got the Scots their tries (and escapes).
