Semi finals is good. Maybe being ranked lower will work better for her, as she develops. The opposition so far haven't been up to much though...
That changes when she plays Jelena Ostapenko in Semi-Final match next....

Just read up on this myself... Apparently Emma wanted Dmitry Tursunov to stay, but her parents, especially her father wants more control making it impossible for Dmitry to do his job....!

I’ve listened to interviews with her in the past (not about tennis, but generally about her childhood years) where she’s lovingly hinted at her parents being pains in the arse.

It’s difficult but when the best coaches have great things to say about her but ‘can’t agree terms with her team’ it’s not the physio they are referring to.

She may have a very difficult decision to make if she is going to become a top 10 player.
I suspect she's not brave enough to make that decision.

By the time she is, it will be too late.
I do wonder if she's made legal arrangements with her father prior to her winning US Open title...
Will be interesting to see where her career goes in 2023, but management situation needs to stabilize if possible

I think it's more about a flawed honours system personally...

Yes hopefully. Emma lost the first set against the Czech 'rising star', but went on to take the following two and win the match..

Sadly another day, another injury. But it's a long season, so hoping with proper coaching and support her results improve....

A good win for Emma, but the tournament really begins now when she plays Coco Gauff.. Could be quite a match!

Was always going to be a tough one against Coco Gauff, although it was a loss for Emma, it wasn't a complete write-off to the 2023 season...
Hope she'll get some good results on the tour in preparation for Paris and Wimbledon smile

Emma's playing now at the Indian Wells Masters. Round of 128 match against Danka Kovinic. Emma won the 1st set 6-2 and it's currently 5-3 up in the 2nd.
It was reported earlier that Emma has been recovering from tonsillitus and a recurring wrist injury from last year..
