I am standing by my score prediction. Roger is holding on there, just needs to stay focused on holding and make a move at 5-5 or the breaker. Andy just flowing, but I am worried he will get too excited now he has pretty much has it down solid. But he is relentless, that's the way you have to be to come through.

Sticking with 64, 75, 67, 63.

IM, that's the fellow biggrin

Federer just putting in a champion's performance here. Getting dictated around the shop, but just quietly staying within reach, waiting for the moment to strike. If the other guy can outhit you for the entire match, too good. But there's usually a moment, a lull in the assault, and that's where you want to be within a game or a few points of changing the momentum.

Serious, serious tennis. Ok, so Roger got the breaker earlier than I thought but it's Andy 75, 63 for the next two.

Beautiful. Managed to stay calm and do what Federer did. Absorb the punishment, stay within reach and make the move. Sharp eyes on that call to go 30-0 up and world-class serving. Roger should hold serve, let Murray serve it out then start the 4th on serve.

3-1 down in the fourth. Pretty much to Roger's plan here. Andy needs to calm it down a little and bring it in for the tie-break. If only so I can feel pretty smug about getting the set scores right, sort of wink

Once again the level of tennis on display is verging on the ridiculous.

Amen to that! Nothing better than seeing the older master having to pull out all the tricks and use all his experience to overcome youth and tenacity.

And to think... one of these boys (Andy) is going to have to face this all over again (and then some) on Sunday. Novak is NOT going to wilt at any stage in the match. As I've said before, whoever wins this Slam has to earn it the hard way.

Murray has a talent for hitting incredible returns from positions that he has no right reaching let alone hitting a ball from.

Hold off Andy... breaker if you don't mind.

ETA: Roger's got some serious stones. 15-30, an insane return, gliding around the court to get break point.. Different league.

So glad Andy's gotten rid of the "play it safe" attitude when matches against Roger and Novak get close. That's what they are waiting for. Now that he is blazing away from the off, the results follow. You've got to be able to believe in your abilities when you are at this stage in a match. Any doubt and Federer will be all over it. Although, he isn't looking his best physically at the minute. Back issues?

Yo Andy!

Very level head today - a very good sign. I think his first Slam has changed him.

4hrs. First win against Roger in a Slam. Awesome match. Nice work Andy.

On-court interview. Back to stretch. Press conferences for some time. Eat. Get back. Not sleeping before 3am..

Back on Sunday to fight for the title! Great tennis.

yes

Sunday could be very interesting, he has the confidence now. Novak does love a 5 setter though and has had an extra days rest, Murray needs to come out fighting straight from the off.
