Of course the games will be going ahead - just not on UK TV at the moment!
So why will I need to wait? Confused...

The BBC are going to show Monday night football smile
So that's
Sky - Thursday night game and 2 games on Sunday (6pm and 9:15pm games)
C4 - Late Sunday Night game
BBC - Monday night games, but only on the RED button and Internet

Is it possible to record the RED button on Sky/Freesat

So glad the football season is back - caught a bit of preseason but not much. So despite the fact I was utterly knackered and just about to wrap up work for the day and go to bed, I'm still sat here watching the Cowboys vs Giants game.

Not a bad game so far at all - Kevin Ogletree is having a hell of a game.

A messy first half, with a couple of exceptions.. (Ogletree)
Manning and Romo to throw almost every play in this second half, as neither team can make a run play.

I think it will be a tight match up until the end of the 4th,.

Far too many sloppy mistakes in the 3rd and 4th, far too many flags too for that matter.

On the plus side, that was a lovely move for the TD.

Didn't stay up to watch it so I'm going off the match report and the opinion of some friends who did. Still sounds like big D cannot close out a game and won by virtue of scoring quicker. Correct call made to disallow the last Giants score which would have tied the score anyway. An important scalp in a traditionally tight division though.

Roll on Sunday (new gf won't know whats hit her when I sit down for the triple header biggrin)

I'm lost!

Is Ch4 the same as last year on a Sunday night?

BBC, not sure what the Red Button thingy is, does it show on a Freeview Channel?

And a bit off topic, I can't find any Baseball on UK terrestrial TV. Is it shown?

No MLB no. Got to go to ESPN for that. Think the MLB site is cheap enough for an official stream.

Yup, enjoying a football-fest here biggrin

Redzone has been brilliant so far - really impressed with Sky's coverage of the NFL so far this year, very nicely done. Redzone is awesome, why didn't I know about this sooner?!

In terms of the games, can't wait to see Packers vs 49ers, but there's far too much going on to comment on anything specifically. The fast version is:
- go packers
- colts look terrible
- WTF saints?!

Said to a friend that think luck will be fine but that defence is stinking up the house. Why take an above average cover 2 team and try to turn them into a 3-4!?

Will be interesting too what the saints do this season. Brees is Brees but that defence wasn't great last season anyway...

Go pack

From what I saw the Jets made some great plays.

Packers defence need to get their sh*t together, far too much room left by the backs for that [admittedly not bad] TD.

That was a pretty impressive kick by Akers -63 yards and ties the NFL record for longest FG.

Nearly wet myself too - not because I was excited by it, but because my sub-woofer decided to wake up when it hit the post and nearly blew the roof off. I'm awake now... hehe

We got off to a win! (Texans) Some lovely turnovers thanks to the Dolphins rookie QB. Poor thing.

I'm in America now, have any of you had any experience with away stands? If I rock up at Jacksonville next Sunday in a Foster Jersey and I due a bumming?

Im in the US at the moment as well and went to watch the final san francisco 49ers pre season match against san diego chargers.

Ive never really followed nfl just seen a few games due to my flatmates liking nfl but i am going to give following the 49ers a go this season. My flatmates are packers and colts fans so should be interesting.

Regards to away fans i'd say you'd be alright. There were a fair few chargers fans. Didnt notice anything bad just a bit of mick taking whenever the 49ers scored.

Manning played v well and it's always good to see the rapist beaten.

Good start by the Pats. GB going down was a surprise and with NYG losing Thu and NO today looks like the NFC is wide open.
