Trump’s playing is remarkably good. So good in fact, I’m actually feeling a bit sorry for John Higgins.

Wow. The only thing more impressive than Judd's performance was Brian's t-shirt.

Can't see him maintaining that level tomorrow, but what a session.
That is my worry and Higgins always seems to find a way of grinding his opponents down. Fingers crossed that Trump stays composed.

That was mightily impressive. Some of the best matchplay I've ever seen from a player.

Total snooker.

And because of the person it's being inflicted upon I enjoyed it all the more.

Stunning snooker. Never really liked Trump’s style of play ( my late father used to say ‘you won’t win much just hitting it as hard as you can’). But it all worked out for him tonight, I am firmly in the ABH camp.

Just an aside, many moons ago I used to work for Trump’s manager haha

Django? He's a massive petrolhead and has owned an eye-watering amount of proper PH cars over the years (as you probably know). Great guy and very approachable.

I really want this to go down to the wire, but can't see it happening now. Even if J.Higgins wins the third session 6-2, Trump will still be 14-11 going into the final session... may the best man win

Good to see Trump's swashbuckling style deliver in the world championship, he's never quite lived up to the potential thus far. It's his to lose now but I doubt he will.

With his safety game now vastly improved, Trump really looks the complete player.

Even the professionals were stunned at how good he was last night. Awesome snooker!

Just heard on the radio that someone put a £10 bet on Trump in 1998 at 1000/1 to win the World Championship before 2020.

Those odds look pretty short to me for a bet on a then 9 year old.

I thought the same, maybe I misheard and it was 10,000/1. smile

Hopefully Trump can finish quickly today. Ideally with Higgins not adding to his tally. A man can dream.

He really is pretty much universally loathed isn't he. I've not seen a good word said about him on here.

Which makes the BBC's fondness of him puzzling.

Steve Davis really has to work hard to hide his dislike but the commentators, especially Virgo and Dennis Taylor, seem to still love him.
