Why is AJ looking so happy? Very strange body language.
Agree, that was weird.. Seemed nonchalant about it, maybe that's his style if it doesn't go his way.

I am very much a 'casual fan', but Joshua didn't look himself.

Also seems far too happy post-defeat.

Whole strikes me as a bit odd.
Nah, they are still in denial.

Thing about boxing is that is man on man on the night,

Talking of which, the biggest shock is still with that ladies decision. Shameful win for the favourite. frown
Yep katie taylor very lucky

Probably shock...? He was expecting (we all were) a spirited Ruiz, but I don’t think anyone expected AJ to get violated like that.

Do those who know a bit more think AJ can't take a punch as well as others?

Ruiz tonight got knocked down and got straight back up and did what he did. Fury getting up after Wilder and looking composed again. Whyte took some massive shots from AJ, yet caught him with one good one and unsettled him effectively etc.

imagine what Deontay Wilder would’ve done to Anthony Joshua.... Losing to Ruiz saved Joshua’s life.

Hahahahh AJ needs to raise his game has looked dodgy since i watched him in cardiff
He hasn't looked like the same fighter since he changed to "boxing finess" against parker. I'm looking forward to the analysis from youtube pundits.

Reckon he was expecting an easy peasy fight, and he mentally crumbled and didn’t have a a clue what to do.

fk Anthony Joshua and fk Eddie Hearn. That's what you get for being greedy s.

Can't believe I was there for that - incredible scenes. Ruiz fought like his life depended on it.

This has been coming with AJ - he hasn't looked great in a lot of fights.

Whoooaaaa that was nuts!! AJ clearly thought this was going to be a walk over. Their all talking about a rematch, does anyone know if there was something in the contract about that? Surely Fury and Wilder will want a go at Ruiz now.

I can't imagine there wasn't a rematch clause for AJ, though maybe they were supremely arrogant.

Hearn did say rematch November/December in the UK.

Yep, Hearn is definitely clever enough to make sure there would be a UK Rematch if it went against AJ. I'm sure Ruiz would be happy, another huge pay day coming his way in November.

Just caught up and fk me.

Questions over AJs chin are now answered. His legs go and there is nothing left, was still to cocky, had hands down and looked for a KO. Should have hugged Ruiz as much as possible.

AJ was surprisingly slow in the ring, I expected the same game plan as against Parker till Ruiz tires in later rounds, but AJ didn't really have a strategy. He thought he could figure out Ruiz as it went along but couldn't.

Ruiz jr based on this is favourite to win a rematch.

Always been questions over AJs chin since numerous leaks about how easily he goes down in sparring.

Wlad remember had AJ for the taking but didn't go in for the kill.

It's why I thought AJ would be ultra defensive and use his height and reach, and more mobility than we saw, to control distance till later rounds.

He has been doing loads of heavy leg weight lifting, so perhaps that gave him false confidence.

Sky Boss gives a good honest interview. Reading between his words, AJ was expetected to have a good run but lose at some point. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qGhl7B8N-AU

Ajs physiques hides his lack of fight conditioning imho. From round 1 he looked tired. He was just pawing his jab. Zero Pop. Nothing to stop Ruiz just walking him down.
